The artistic history of the place is overwhelming (ask about your room number), and the recent renovations perfectly honor this and the building's original architectural beauty without compromising on modern comfort. Nothing corporate or institutional about this place; on the contrary, it's just dripping with character and whimsy. Don't miss the lobby bar, cafe, or especially El Quijote, as these are all exceedingly beautiful and luxurious. The staff are largely friendly and accommodating, and the building is well located (a straight 10min walk from Penn Station, close to Greenwich Village, etc.). Pretty crazy that a hotel could tempt me away from exploring Manhattan. I never wanted to leave, and can't wait to return.

Located 300 metres from Times Square in New York, LUMA Hotel - Times Square features a restaurant and free WiFi throughout the property. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Hotel is in a fantastic location walking distance to almost everything. We had a great room - big for New York standards with a view of the ball. The hotel is very modern with a good size bathroom. Staff where excellent room well appointed with everything we needed including umbrella - which we needed. Had a wonderful stay in New York City!

Henry Norman Hotel is located in Brooklyn. Free WiFi access is available. Each room here will provide you with a TV, air conditioning and an iPod dock. The room was impeccably clean and well appointed with plenty of towels, coffee, tea, blow dryer, toiletries etc. We stayed in a loft which was more like a suite. The room was quite large and had a separate living area. The staff at the hotel was very accomodating and the service was outstanding.

What an amazing place and such a great surprise !! It is an old steel factory converted into a hotel with the perfect mix of maintaining the original character while being a newly renovated 4-star hotel. The staff was extremely friendly, and we loved our tour of the reception hall along with a history lesson of the original purpose. The room was very spacious with high ceilings, the bed very comfortable and breakfast included with a waterfront view was an extra bonus. We will definitely stay there again on our next travels.
